Textiles - materials for an avant garde headpiece.

 

Parent note - we collected these natural materials on a nature walk this morning, quite blustery, but both myself and Niamh love the cooler weather. 

Niamh engaged really well and was enthusiastic about noticing different shapes, plants and sensibly chose to choose from overhanging branches rather than the floor for hygiene reasons. 

I think a simple headpiece is likely too easy so Niamh will be asked to incorporate man made materials for contrast, but also consider balance within her work. Concept will be focused on bringing the man made and the natural world together.

I've made a hand drawn template for Niamh to find it more fun and easier to test her materials, explore shapes and colours.
