Muscles

 Your muscles are made of overlapping fibres. Each fibre contains tiny parallel          strands, called myofibrils. Nerve make the myofibrils contract, so that the muscle fibres become shorter and tighter. This produces a pulling force which moves the bone or organ that the muscle is attached to.
