PHSE - homophobia in the 90's

 Niamh was watching a video about her favourite band on YouTube (Nirvana) where the band members all kissed.

We ended up having a discussion about homophobia in America at that time and how supportive the band members were of gay rights and how behaviour like this would have shocked people, but also gone some way to supporting gay rights. 

It's difficult to like a band, love their music yet be against their ideas. 

We discussed the gay rights movement and when gay people were allowed to marry.
